2014 World Cup squads: No surprises in the Ghana team - Head coach Kwesi Appiah has announced the roster that will try to build on Ghana's past two successful World Cup campaigns.

Ghana national team beach coach Kwesi Appiah has announced his initial 26 man roster ahead of this summer's World Cup in Brazil. This is Ghana's third straight appearances in the finals, and the first time they'll be coached by an African born manager.

Ghana are an experienced squad, led by Schalke midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng, along veterans Michael Essien, Asamoah Gyan and Sulley Muntari. The roster also features young talents like Kwadwo Asamoah from Juventus, and Christian Atsu.

Appiah will reduce his roster to 23 after friendly against the Netherlands on May 31st. Ghana begins World Cup group play on June 16th against the United States.
